• Band Pants and Abortions - Son Ben springs band concert on Dani – who just hauled all appropriate clothing to the cleaners.  This story is a local favorite. 
• Brandy – the new hobby - A new experiment, or an obsession?  Husband Ken braces for an obsession.
• Brandy Swamp Juice at Day 29 – A month into the brandy experiment shows the beginning of fermentation of homemade fruit in brandy recipe.  Ken claims concoction is deadly.  Dani fantasizes about feeding it to Ken and his football buddies. 
• Brandy at day 60 - More plotting on evolving brandy concoction.  It’s starting to look good!  All plans for having brandy at football party are suspended.
• (Brandy at day 90) Crabapple and apricot brandy, 90 days and relief at last - Brandies turn out wonderfully, despite Ken’s predictions.  One is distinctly better than the other.  Football players will have to review tackle process before gaining access, as Dani plans to aggressively defend supply.
• Cash for Clunkers, “other side” – Ben’s clunker dilemma and government’s dubious message about financial responsibility. 
• Chasing Buffalo – Neighbor’s buffalo experiment goes awry.
• Electric Goat Fencing – Ah, the joy of goat ownership.  It is too much…really!
• Farm Funeral Director Wanted - A goat dies.  Dani has to learn how to operate tractor bucket!  Agh!  She does not show natural talent in this area and is very disappointed that this “promotion” does not include a party and refreshments.
• Girls, plastic collars, zip ties and duct tape - Son Ben returns from 4-H conference with visions of girls dancing in his head.  Veterinarian caught in middle, offers no help.
• Goat Parties, donuts and jail - Heidi’s 18th birthday unveils some dubious aspirations.
• Grass Carp – Ken adopts sterile fish to clean ugly pond.  Fish training program ensues. 
• Grass Carp update - Six-week progress check on the pond muck as Ken gets Dani and Ben to help the fish clean the pond.  Dani suggests alternate fish plot involving time-share condo in Florida.
• Karate goats and dingo love – Ben gets attacked by the goats while trying to sell one.  He decides conflict resolution books are for the birds.  The dingo/goat romance is doomed.  Goat is fickle.
• Last ride in Ken’s car - The last of the goats ride to the sale in Ken’s car.  A suitable tribute to air fresheners.
• Mormon can museum - This isn’t a “funny” post, but was a handy discovery, which enabled me to save gobs of money and manage my canned foods better.  Kudo’s to the Mormon’s.  They know this stuff! 
• Oh Be Joyful - A simple horseback ride with a girlfriend turns into a battle of wits with an old horse.  A deal is struck.
• Pick-up, parka and Pete - Oh boy!  Can Ken get mad!!!  Heidi hauls stinky billy goat to sale in Ken’s truck!  Truck never the same, according to Ken.
• Prom is a 4-letter word – Men and helium, allowing a young blond to arrange prom details, and the suspicious nature of 5-karat diamond rings.
• Science behind senior year - Advice about making a teenager’s senior year less traumatic.   The untold side of taking college courses while in high school. 
• State Fair, or colicky baby clinic? – The entire family goes to the Colorado State Fair hoping to see animal exhibits.  Instead, they see insides of big box stores, yard sales in obscure regions and a drum set to beat all drum sets. 
• Veterinary Sweepstakes - A contest of wits with a veterinarian draws a quick concession.
• What’s for Dinner Report Card - Son Ben finds that diddles in class – gets big surprise at home.
