Animal Control Cartoon

Hey all. I know this posting is still not as clear as a direct download would be, but I am still monkeying with how to get these up and so far, this is the easiest. Again, I’ve made some adjustments and would love to hear whether 1) you could read the text in the bubbles, and 2) if the appearance on your computer was great, good, fair, poor, or made you think I should keep my day job! Wait, this IS my day job! Maybe by now they’ve got an opening in Animal Control….

The graphic is clear on my pc. The words are not as sharp as they could be but easy to enough to read. I am afraid tying steaks to your leg would not catch your random escaped goat or loose horse though. Maybe he should have a carrot necklace too.

Hi Dani. Everything is clear and I think cartoon is a nice way to express our thoughts. Keep it up.

Thanks, Naz! I’m glad you can read it. It is still hard to read on some computers for some people. It will be better when I can download it properly. I’ll keep trying. But REALLY thanks. I need to hear back so I can fix it!

A bit cramped in the frames, but readable. Someone like this would have a Bucky bracelet around an ankle.

Ugh! I’m frustrated. They have to be “right.” And if they are cramped, or you cannot read them, or they are stretched (on Kitty’s computer they were stretched in one case and perfect in another) – anyway, I’m going to have to buckle down and get some help! But, I DO thank you for being honest! I cannot get it right until then!

By the way, are your feet REALLY that big?
And, if so, are you a Shriner?

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie…have you no appreciation for artistic license? My feet are actually BIGGER! lol
Agnes, my lead character, arrived in my head when I was around 13 years old, with her faithful dog coming along shortly thereafter. Skippee, the low-level policeman came when I was in college. He was the campus security cop who delighted in writing me tickets. He and I had a love/hate relationship. I think he loved me. I know I hated him. The two of us – in cartoon land – made up and are friends now. In reality, we went separate directions, but he still graces my cartoons as a very regular part of the strip – and coincidentally, the ONLY police cartoon I’ve ever read. (Not saying there aren’t others out there – I’ve just never read them.)
I’ve got 9-10 years of weekly cartoons from my strip – but I did them in Quark (other artists shudder) and I’m not tech savvy enough to figure out how to download them yet. It’s coming. It’s just taking forever! I don’t want to put them up if they’ll be all stretched and distorted. Ugh!
Anyway, thanks for the comment. And yes, when I dance I ALWAYS step on the poor guy’s toes!

About 5 minutes in only the top inch of the cartoon has loaded, but it’s readable. The invite to comment took some finding. You don’t often see this Blogger design…. nuff said. I feel your blogs are going to give me a lot of pleasure, you don’t seem to be a trouble-maker like me, but who’s perfect. Go well, take care, Bob

It loaded this time – problem at my end and perhaps the cartoon file is much bigger than it needs to be. I love your feet anyway. Your Avatar is beautiful – taken a long time ago was it? I enjoyed the cartoon, look forward to seeing other posts. Take care Dani. Bob

Hi Bob. And thanks for the input. I’m in a terminal holding pattern for help from my hubby. He’s a busy guy and hasn’t had the time to walk me through getting the cartoons set up to load more easily and more consistently. They are done in Quark, which is different from the method most artists use, and the whole process has given me heartburn. I know it shouldn’t. I’m just a wuss on this computer stuff. I can type like a maniac, but anything involving programming, codes, etc. scares me.
Glad you loved the feet. And thanks for the compliment on the Avatar. No, it wasn’t taken 25 years ago. It was taken this last fall, in July, I think. Were you picturing me as older/fatter/uglier/more weathered? (I’m laughing as I think about that.) You take care, too. Dani

Careful Lifeshighway! With advice like that (carrot necklace) – you could be promoted to Mayor here. Or at least police chief!
Your answer is both green and vegetarian. That raises you several levels on the postal exams here, too. Hahaha!!! Thanks for the funny comment!

Hey Bob. I’ll try to work on that trouble maker part. And what do you mean you “don’t often see this Blogger design?” You mean women with goats eating their header isn’t what EVERYBODY is doing? lol
